Well, I am sorry to all those who have checked this blog recently and found that I have no updates. I know I suck. Kolbi and I just bought a little house in Payson and are working around the clock to fix it up and move in, it consumes my every free minute! I will get some pictures of the progress when we manage to find our camera, it is in a box somewhere, possibly in the basement or still in Genola!

Family Pictures I have been wanting to upload some of these pictures for a while, however I have been unable to make the CD work, so i just took these from Angie's blog! Thanks Angie. Also, thanks to Kari Stevens and Benjammin for the picture taking! They turned out great.

The Last Band Concert!
Here we are at the last band concert of the summer season in Payson Park. How sad we are to see them go! They are our favorite summer activity! A special Thanks to Angie Tijarina for the picture!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I Just started my new job at the hospital, and I have been somewhat busy, but mostly overwhelmed! I do however love the work!
Kolbi and I are in the process of buying a house. We found a perfect little 1940's home in Payson that needs a little fixing up, but that is right down my alley! I will have to post some pictures when I have my camera and get some pictures taken.

Grandpa Tervort

Well, this post is a sad one for me. I have been wanting to make it for a while, but I have been overwhelmed. Monday morning I was on my way to my new job. It was my first day and I had all the nerves of starting a new job. Just as I was about to head into my first meeting I got a call from my dad telling me that grandpa had just passed away. I was so sad. suddenly all those feelings of nervousness changed in a heartbeat, but it was a feeling less desirable than the nerves of starting a new job. What a loss. If today you asked me what i learned on my first day of work I would probably tell you I can't remember, but I sure do remember Grandpa. I sat through those 8 hours of meetings and didn't listen to one thing that was said, but just remembered. I love Grandpa Tervort, and it is a wonderful thing to know I will see him again.

If ever there was a couple of people in the world who made me fell like everything I did was important, it was Grandma and Grandpa Tervort! The way they would light up when even something remotely exciting would happen. When I got my new job I felt like I had just acquired the greatest job in the world, even though it was just a small job at the hospital.

Kolbi tells me all the time how much she loves grandpa and grandma. They have always treated her like they treat me, like she's the most special person in the world. She loved to listen to grandpa tell stories with the common interjection of "them suckers."

When Kolbi Graduated from UVSC she was about 4 days away from having Avonly. We were not sure she was even going to walk, but after talking for a while she decided she would. We just put the word out a few days before and didn't expect anyone to show up, we didn't figure that it was that exciting a thing to sit through. When I got there I sat down and looked around the auditorium and saw grandpa and grandma sitting by themselves and excited to be there. What amazing people. Not even their own grandchild and there they were with bells on! I am forever greatful for the continuous support.

When I was on my mission I heard from grandma all the time, and she sent grandpa's love with every letter, but he wasn't much of a writer. I didn't think much of it, because lets face it I am not a good writer myself. When i got home I would visit grandpa and grandma all the time and Grandpa would tell me stories from my mission that I didn't even remember happening. Even until just recently every time I saw grandpa he would remind me about my mission and how much he enjoyed my letters. Not much of what i wrote was all that exciting, but grandpa made me fell like it was the neatest experience anyone could have ever had in life!

I could sit all day and type stories of grandpa's support and love, but I am a fairly slow typer, all you need to know is that there is not a better grandpa in the world.

I love my Grandpa, and one of my goals in life is to be as good of a grandpa when I have grandkids as mine has been!

My Last Day
Today is my last day at my job at the bank! I have worked for something like 3 1/2 years in banking, and I have decided that I don't want to anymore. I decided not long after Avonly was born, and I was practically living in a hospital that the medical field is where I should be. I have played around with the idea some before, but now I really feel that it is right for me. So I recently got a job with IHC. I will be working between Utah Valley and American Fork Hospitals doing EKG's. I'm excited, but Incredibly sad. I love the bank I work for. I love the company and the people I work with. They are some of my best friends in the world! For example...... Shaela had an office olympics planned for my last day, she is such a Hoot! We were tossing ticker tape rolls past lines of masking tape, and playing fill a basket of suckers using a stapler! We topped it all off with some pizza and treats. I love the this bank.

Deer Valley For Kolbi's birthday I got her a little getaway. We left Avonly with grandma and grandpa and went to the Deer Valley Summer Concert Featuring the Utah Symphony and Gladys Knight! We took some blankets and picnic and spread them out on the grass hill and had a nice dinner and watched the performance. It was just wonfderful. However we didn't expect it to be so dang cold, I had a runny nose it was freezing for the middle of August, but it was still enjoyable.

Look at our yummy treats! I think we were the only people not drinking wine and eating cheese.

Happy Birthday Kolbi!Yesterday was Kolbi's Birthday. She is so old now, 24! After I got done woth work we went to go boating on Utah Lake. Unfortunately when we got there the water was so choppy we decided it wouldn't be worth it so we just went out to dinner! It was ging to be Avonly's first boat adventure, but we had to pass. Another day I guess, oh well at least she looks cute in her swimsuit!

Ridin' Horse! So, on occasion we get to go ride horses with Katie, she's the best! Anywho, this last week we got to go. We took our friend Byce with us, he loved it. everytime we almost got a saddle on a horse he would try to hop on. We had to keep telling him to wait until we tell him to get on. We just headed out in the fields around West Mountain. Kolbi got to ride Barb, appearantly the slowest horse on earth. About every five minutes we would hear Kolbi yell "see ya guys." and when we turned around she would be 50 yards back while Barb was bent over eating the grass. Kolbi could kick the crap out of the horse and she didn't care. It was kind of fun to watch Kolbi kicking the tar out of this horse while she acted like she could't feel it!

On the other hand there was my horse. Nobody knew much about her. Not even her name. When we were rounding her up to saddle Katie didn't know what to call her, and all she could tell me about her was that she was probably a good horse, Katie's dad just bought her at an auction. I found myself calling her Blondie. She was small and Blonde, much smaller than Kolbi's horse. That would be why the pictures make me looke like a little kid compared to my wife! Anyway, this horse was on her own page. I want to go slow and walk by Kolbi, but this horse wanted to lead, and no matter how much I pulled back she still took the lead. I was always in front, which is somewhat difficult when your horse only wants to do what it wants to do. I thought maybe if I rode her like all the other horses I would be fine, but i could't kick her, she would flip out and really take off. So needless to say Kolbi and I spent most of the ride apart, to the fron tand back! Until....In a group effort by all, we were able to get us together. It lasted seconds. so we grabbed hands to show that we were finally together, until we were torn apart by my speedy small horse and Kolbi's near dead one!

No that is not a purse it is a camera bag!

Avonly was blessed this past sunday. What an experience! I have to laugh because I knew that she would cry through the whole thing, and believe it or not she did. Not to mention the mic. was not working so no one could hear me anyway! Oh well, Kolbi was sitting close enough to hear, and i guess that is good enough! The rest of the day Avonly was as good as gold. Here are Avonly's grandparents Grandma and Grandpa Bateman above, and Grandma and Grandpa Tervort below.Just a few shots of Avonly and her many faces.

HI MOLLY!

Ok, so I uploaded a couple of these twice or three times and I am inept, and can't figure out how to delete these, so enjoy them several times.

We thought we would just see how Avonly looks in her new high chair. What a big girl, but still a few months away from actually eating here! Even though Avonly had a little bit of a slow start she is rapidly making up for it in attitude and strength. She has the strongest neck and one heck of a grip! Not to mention you know exactly what she is thinking, she doesn't hide her emotion!

Nice and clean from the bath.

Grandma and Grandpa Stone Came to visit not long after we brought Avonly home from the hospital! We Love Visitors!

This is one ofthe pictures that we used in Avonly's birth announcements.
